Dr. Madhu Henry

​

Dr. Madhu Henry received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Affairs and Russian Studies at George Washington University. She went on to earn her Medical Degree at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Henry completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. During residency, she received special training in HIV and Hepatitis B/C treatment. She completed her three years as a National Health Corp Scholar at Unity Health Care to serve the poor and uninsured.

 

Dr. Henry transitioned to work in Vienna in an entrepreneurial venture. Dr. Henry has worked with communities that had limited access to medicine and participated in old-fashioned house calls, new-age tele-medicine and launching a Well Woman Clinic to meet the needs of the community. She focused her continuing medical education, with the American Board of Holistic and Integrative Medicine, earning special training in Herbal, Ayurvedic and Physiatry Medicine. She also became a devoted practitioner of Bikram (Hot) Yoga.

Dr. Henry has four children and two rescue dogs. She speaks Spanish, Tamil, English, and a little Russian. She is a vegetarian and likes to practice meditation and yoga to maintain balanced mental and spiritual health. It is her goal to blend her many varied skills in the practice of medicine to build relationships with patients that foster education for the promotion of good health. Dr. Henry joined Virginia Family Medicine in 2014.

Dr. Kavian Milani

 

Dr. Milani is well known in the medical community and the community at large. He has received many awards and recognitions in medicine. He has received ‘Top Doctor’ status in prestigious Washingtonian and Northern Virginia Magazines for several years and has been named one of Consumers’ Checkbook Magazine’s top rated primary care physicians.

 

Dr. Milani has a strong interest in human rights and has launched the Center for Health and Human Rights to make healthcare accessible to vulnerable populations. He is designated by the Department of Homeland Security as a Civil Surgeon.

 

Dr. Milani received his Bachelor of Science Degree in biology from George Mason University in 1990. He graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1995, where he went on to complete his residency training in Family Medicine, and has been working in Northern Virginia since 1998. Dr. Milani opened Virginia Family Medicine, as his private practice, in 2006. He is fluent in Farsi and English and has a working knowledge of Arabic.
